Alex Amodeo was born on Long Island, New York, where she grew up trekking to school in the snow. Her family picked up their roots during her fifth year of schooling and moved to sunny North Carolina, where she quickly acclimated to the warmth of the south. Alex attended the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG), where she majored in Communication Sciences and Disorders and finished with a master’s in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP). Alex was motivated to become an SLP due to the fact she had a wonderful experience with an SLP as a child. Throughout schooling, she enjoyed working with the pediatric population, with clinical experience in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, articulation disorders, hippotherapy, and language impairments. She hopes to one day start her own hippotherapy program. When Alex is not working, she enjoys riding and showing her horse, writing fantasy & sci-fi novels, and hanging out with her pets. She owns a crazy corgi named Hiccup and two snakes, Othello and Morty, and looks forward to rescuing and collecting many more.
