Amanda Cadena, OTR/L- Amanda D. Cadena, MS OTR/L is a National Board Certified Occupational Therapist. She earned her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Winston Salem State University in December of 2015. Amanda works tirelessly to design and implement effective occupational therapy plans where children gain the skills necessary to develop their independence in various areas of life. Originally from Miami, FL, Amanda is a bilingual therapist whose cultural connection with many of her clients and their families allows for caring patient/therapist relationships. Amanda conducts all aspects of the therapeutic process; including parent interviews, patient evaluations, therapy session and parent education fluently in English and Spanish. Along with extensive professional experience, Amanda also has a personal connection of working with children with Autism. Amanda thoroughly enjoys the daily rewards of working with children and helping them overcome their daily life challenges. She has shown effective therapy supporting children with Developmental Delay in fine motor and gross motor skills, Sensory Processing/Integration Disorders, Neurodevelopment Disorders, Behavioral Disorders, Cognitive Impairments, and Genetic Disorders. When she is not working or creating activities and crafts for her clients, Amanda can be found running, exploring the city, reading, or traveling.
