Catherine Ireland is a registered Occupational Therapist who recently received her Master’s degree in occupational therapy from Spalding University in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Catherine also attended the University of South Carolina and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology in 2016. Over the past several years, she has gained valuable experience in a variety of practice settings including pediatric hippotherapy, adult acute care, skilled nursing/long term care, the school system, and outpatient pediatrics. Specifically, she had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals from birth to geriatrics, allowing her to better understand the evolving needs and milestones across a lifespan.
Catherine found her passion for working with children and their families. She believes in the power of establishing a strong therapeutic relationship in order to effectively implement meaningful and client-centered goals. Catherine strives to create unique and individualized interventions to help promote skill development, independence, and the highest quality of life among those with whom she works. Catherine is a highly motivated and approachable occupational therapist and is always willing to work hard to help those around her. She is eager to continually grow and learn within the field of OT and from her colleagues at Speech Tactics. In her free time, Catherine enjoys fitness classes, exploring new places in Charlotte with her fiancé, volunteering in the community, crafting, and trying new recipes!
