Matt was born in Chicago, IL, and moved a lot due to his dad being in the military. He settled in WA and lived there for 30+ years. Matt and his wife decided they needed a change of pace and culture and moved out east. He attended PIMA Medical Institute for his COTA education and Grand Canyon University for his Bachelor of Science in Health Care. Matt was influenced by this after his dad had a stroke 11+ years ago, and little did Matt know that his oldest daughter had high functioning autism which led him to a more pediatric-specific field. He hopes to have an impact on everyone’s lives, not just those he works with or treats. One of Matt’s favorite quotes is, “Be kind and caring to all.” He has worked with kids with autism, down syndrome, and sensory processing disorders. Matt enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, reading, playing video games, going on walks, and traveling. In all, Matt has a total of five kids; one from his wife’s previous relationship that he has adopted, three of his own, and one foster to adopt. In addition, Matt also has five pets; three dogs and two cats.
